 In the final of the first ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup in South Africa, the England team was bowled out for 68 runs while playing first, Rhianna Macdonald was the top scorer by scoring 19 runs.

India's Archana Devi, Purushi Chopra and Teetas Sadhu took two wickets each. In response to England's target of 69 runs, the Indian team achieved the target by three wickets in 14 overs, Soumya Tiwari was the top scorer by scoring 24 runs. Thus, India won the first ICC Under-19 Women's World Cup by winning by 7 wickets.
